Miao Ge Baby Carrier

The chain-stitching technique is at least 2000 years old, as it was found on textiles from the Warring States period. It is from Huang-ping county, Gui-Zhou Province, a product of the Ge-jia group. The entire piece was completed using the chain stitching technique, giving the carrier's geometric design a classical and elegant feel. Chain-stitching is a simple technique that connects one loop to the next so that it forms a string of chain like patterns.
