Miao Apron from Huaxi Stiching in the Huaxi area employed the technique of stitching in the reverse side and making patterns to appear on the positive side. They usually used red or rose coloured threads to stitch on black grounds, they also used yellow, green, blue and white coloured threads as supporting colours. The design is mainly floral, with round shped, belt shaped or angular shaped flowers. The richly and vividly coloured designs are so pleasing to the eye of the on-lookers that they become instant admireers. In recent decades, Huaxi stitchings have made some changes in colour and design, though their traditional style remain unchanged. Condition: It's been used but in good conditions. Age unknown.
